The Internet Archive is moving toward scanning books with foldouts! We are looking for a few kind folks to donate test books that contain pages that fold out lengthwise and/or contain folding maps. We will of course reimburse you for shipping costs.

We are looking to gather a good sample of books that represent what we see coming through our scanning centers. Older books preferred to newer. We'll be using the books for testing our digitizing process.

Please reply to this post or feel free to contact marcus@archive.org if you can help out.

Thanks,
Marcus Lucero

I've forwarded your request to the Distributed Proofreaders' forums.

What type of support do you need besides the foldout books. I usually have the resources to scan stuff and can help where possible.

What format do you require? PDF

The Birdman is watching you.
